Welcome to lucianomanenti.com, where you can play the great classics of Italian card games for free, directly in your browser, with no registration and no downloads.

Every day thousands of players enjoy their games here. The site was born from a passion for programming and the love of traditional Italian card games.

My Games

Gin Rummy

The classic two-player Rummy game. Unlike Scala 40, all melds stay hidden in your hand until you knock or go Gin. A sharp battle of memory and strategy where reading your opponent’s discards is just as important as the cards you hold.

Scala 40 (Italian Rummy)

The classic Italian card game with sets and runs. Form combinations to get rid of all your cards. Play against 1, 2, or 3 computer opponents. You need at least 40 points to open.

Machiavelli

The most strategic variant of Scala 40: you can manipulate combinations already on the table, split them and recombine them to your advantage. Also available on tablet. A game that requires cunning and big-picture thinking.

Spider Solitaire

The famous card solitaire: arrange all columns from King to Ace. Requires patience and strategy. Try to free entire columns for more room to maneuver.

Klondike Solitaire

The classic card solitaire everyone has played at least once. Build the 4 foundations from Ace to King by moving tableau cards in descending alternating-color order. Draw from the stock when stuck, and complete all foundations to win. Features auto-complete once all face-down cards have been revealed.

Burraco

The hugely popular Italian card game, created by popular demand from our players. Play in pairs (2 vs 2) or head-to-head (1 vs 1). Form clean and dirty burracos to score points. The game is constantly being improved: suggestions and feedback are welcome.

Scopa by Luciano

The famous traditional Italian card game. Challenge computer-controlled opponents in head-to-head (1 vs 1) or partnership (2 vs 2) matches. Track capture counts, diamonds, and Primiera points in real-time, complete with sound effects and threshold alerts.

Briscola

The most widely played Italian card game of all. Challenge computer-controlled opponents head-to-head (1 vs 1) or in partnership (2 vs 2), with an optional partner-signals feature to share your trump cards with your teammate at a glance.

Sudoku Luciano

The famous Japanese logic puzzle. Three difficulty levels with puzzles that always have a unique solution, pencil notes, "didactic" hints that point out deducible cells, best-time records and automatic game saving.

Calcolo Enigmatico Luciano (Cross Figure)

A mathematical cryptarithm in the classic puzzle-magazine style: nine numbers in a 3×3 matrix, with every digit hidden behind a letter. The same letter always stands for the same digit, and the three horizontal operations and the three vertical ones must all balance at the same time. You solve it by elimination using the possibility matrix, just as you would with a pencil. Three difficulty levels, puzzles that always have a unique solution, hints that explain the reasoning, best-time records and automatic game saving.

Minesweeper Luciano

The classic logic game: uncover every safe square without ever touching a mine, reading the numbers that tell you how many mines are around. Three levels (9×9, 16×16 and 30×16), the first click is never a mine, and there is the option of a field always solvable by logic, so you never have to guess. If you do hit a mine you can undo the move by paying a penalty in seconds that doubles every time. Flags with the right button, mine and mistake counters, best-time records and automatic game saving.

Scacchi Luciano (Chess)

Chess with the complete rules (castling, en passant, promotion, automatic draws) against the Stockfish engine running in your browser. Three difficulty levels, choice of colour, engine hints, algebraic notation, move undo and automatic game saving.

Dama Luciano (Italian Checkers)

Italian checkers with the official FID rules: mandatory captures with the official precedence rules, men that cannot capture kings, promotion that stops the capture chain. Three difficulty levels, choice of colour, hints, move undo and automatic game saving.

Nine Men's Morris Luciano

Nine Men's Morris (also known as Mill or Merels), one of the oldest board games we know of: line up three pieces to close a mill and remove one of your opponent's pieces. The three phases of placing, moving and flying, three difficulty levels, choice of colour, hints, move undo and automatic game saving.

Classic Battleship Luciano

The timeless two-player naval combat game played online for free against the computer: deploy your standard 10-ship fleet (1 Battleship, 2 Cruisers, 3 Destroyers, 4 Submarines) with rapid rotation (right-click or spacebar), move/remove controls, and the no-touch rule, or generate an instant random layout. Fire turn by turn at the enemy radar, earn a bonus shot with every hit, and sink the entire opposing fleet before they sink yours. Three difficulty levels (Seaman, Captain, Admiral) featuring directional hunting AI and checkerboard scouting, saved stats, and full-screen layout.

Battleship Solitaire Luciano

Not the two-player battleship game, but the logic solitaire: the fleet is hidden in one single possible arrangement, and you find it by reasoning rather than by shooting at random. The numbers along the edges tell you how many ship squares are in each row and column, and everything else follows by elimination. Three sizes (6×6, 8×8 and 10×10), left click for water and right click for ship, hints that explain the reasoning, undo, best-time records and autosave.

Luciano Mahjong

The famous tile-matching puzzle game (also known as Shanghai Mahjong): 144 multi-layer 3D tiles (Dots, Bamboo, Characters, Winds, Dragons, Flowers, and Seasons). Match identical free tiles in pairs to clear the entire board. Features 4 selectable layouts (The Classic Turtle, Pyramid, Fortress, Arena), a guaranteed solvable game generator, free-tile highlighting, hints, undo, anti-stalemate shuffle, realistic sound effects, and saved stats.

Luciano Dots and Boxes

The squared-paper game played at school: players take turns joining one dot to the next, and whoever closes a box claims it and plays again. That rule is what decides games, because a whole chain of boxes gets banked in a single turn. It takes half a minute to learn, but there is real strategy behind it: the goal is to leave your opponent without a safe move, and it is sometimes worth declining the last two boxes of a chain to force them to open the next one. Three grid sizes (5×5, 8×8 and 11×11) plus a custom one up to 12×14, a computer opponent with three levels — the strongest knows chain play and uses the sacrifice — games won and best margin per level, and autosave.

Luciano Secret Code

The deduction puzzle handed down from the old Bulls and Cows: the computer hides a colour code and you have to work it out, one guess at a time. Every row is answered with two figures only — how many colours are in the right slot and how many are the right colour in the wrong slot — and from there it is all elimination, never guesswork. Three levels (4 slots and 6 colours, 4 slots and 8 colours, 5 slots and 8 colours), with the option of banning repeated colours; a possibility matrix to record what you have already ruled out, three optional helpers you can switch on as you like, hints that explain the reasoning, best-guess records and autosave.
